Suzanne Peterson, originally of southeastern Minnesota, was previously a public policy coordinator and lobbyist working on issues of human trafficking. She received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the College of St. Catherine with an emphasis in political science, women studies, and economics. Ms. Peterson received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of St. Thomas School of Law and is an alumnus of the first graduating class. She was a Presidential Scholarship Recipient, a Minnesota Justice Foundation Clerkship Recipient and a Member of the National Lawyers Guild. Prior to joining the Swisher Law Firm, Ms. Peterson worked as a criminal defense attorney with the Third Judicial District Office of the Public Defender. She has served on a number of community service boards including SOURCE and BrotherPeace, and has volunteered with numerous agencies including SMRLS and Minneapolis Youth Diversion. Ms. Peterson is a member of the Minnesota Bar Association and the Olmsted County Family Bar. She is currently an Advisory Committee member with PAIIR (Parents Are Important In Rochester).
